About the child: Client is an eleven-year-old.

Purpose of enrolling for the program: was to increase confidence and deal with bullying.

Issues: Low self- esteem, shyness, increased withdrawal from others and bullying at school.

Methods:

  • Psychodrama based role play to understand the intensity of bullying.
  • Affirmations to help the child develop confidence.
  • Voice exercises accompanied by gestures to improve clarity in voice and body language.
  • A customized “ANTI-BULLYING” toolkit which contains cues in form of pictorial depictions, journals, batches were given to the client to help manage emotions accordingly. In the end of the process, the child was a part of an expressive art theatre play.

Duration: 6 months.

Benefits: Benefits reported by the parents were Increase in confidence, increase in sociability and more improved speech. The child’s fear of bullying reduced. Stage anxiety drastically reduced with participation in the expressive art theatre play.
