The clock capacitor was not of a high quality, and it leaked after so many cycles, ruining boards and destroying consoles. Note: You NEED to replace your clock capacitor on 1.6 and 1.6b motherboards if it is failing, you cannot just remove them, otherwise your xbox will NOT boot.
