If the chip doesn’t match the battery voltage, something is wrong.If the battery does not appear to work, please double check polarity (+ and – direction). The polarity may be opposite of the original battery in some boards.If you commonly replace batteries, this tool is less than $10 and may save you a lot of time. These batteries require soldering to install. You will need a soldering iron, fresh solder (reusing 20 year old solder or just using tape will likely not work), and many other tools may be helpful.This process is not complicated, but we strongly recommend researching general solder technique.
