Custom, professionally-modded Game Boy Color with the new OSD V5 Laminated IPS Screen.The laminated screen means that there is no gap between the screen and the lens, and no chance for dust to be trapped. Crystal clear and sharp image quality!Original console motherboard - upgraded with the new, 15% larger backlit IPS screen, shell, and scratch-resistant glass screen lens. As of February 2024, every console has had all three main capacitors replaced with upgraded tantalum caps.Tantalum capacitors ensure the longest life possible, as they achieve long-term stability with a 20+ year service lifetime. The original GameBoy Color does not have any lighting to the screen, making it difficult to play, even in the best lighting conditions.This modification allows you to play your favorite games for hours on a bright, vibrant screen that is larger than the original screen!The new IPS screen contains 4x the pixels compared to the original screen - with brighter, more vibrant colors and a wider viewing range. The on-screen-display menu can be accessed by pressing "Select+A+B" at the same time. This menu will let you control brightness and image position.It will also allow you to turn a battery meter on or off, as well as a retro pixel effect setting that mimics the original LCD pixel style. There are also two sensors installed at the top of the new shell - one at the left side, and one at the right side.The left sensor will change the color mode, and the right sensor is a quick way to change the brightness without going into the full menu. ---------- Professionally cleaned, restored, and upgraded.
