I bought this GBA SP CLONE that has built-in games and plays physical cartridges that I wanted to refurbish/reshell and add to my collection. But when I gave it a new black shell, it suddenly started having power issues. Sometimes the power light will turn on but nothing will show up on the screen, and other times it will fully turn on like normal. And yes, I did clean the motherboard with IPA even before reshelling the SP, and it wasn’t having power issues then. But I still think either one of the components is shorting or a trace is broken. I don’t have the soldering skills to fix these things, so I’m selling this as is in hopes that someone can fix it.
